Becomers

Chairperson of the Becomers is Shirley Blair.

When the Becomers group was started at First United Methodist Church there were discussions about what the organization would be called. Then we discussed, read and studied and finally decided on "The Becomers." Why?

From the time we are born we are "Becomers." We go through different stages, but we never fully "Become."

We are always "Becoming" - we are striving to "Become" - hence we may never "Become," but we are always working toward a goal; therefore, we are "Becomers."

May we always seek to "become" what the Lord wants us to be.

This group meets once a month for lunch and a program on the last Tuesday of the month unless otherwise noted. This group is open to all who would like to attend. We usually have a sign up sheet on the bulletin board outside of the kitchen in the Family Life Center so we can make lunch arrangements.
